Connectors and adapters for any application

Diamond Fibre Optic patchcords and assemblies are connected to various cable types and structures and are suitable for a vast number of applications. IEC standard 61753-1 defines performance standards for fibre optic connectors and passive components in two classes of environment:

Controlled environment (C) is defined as a typical environment which you would expect in an office, equipment room, telecommunications centre or building. Expected temperature fluctuations are reduced and you do not expect any condensed or flowing water.

Uncontrolled environment (U) is defined as a typical environment which you find in a locked or covered outdoor area (huts, lofts, telephone boxes, street power boxes). Equipment designed for this type of environment must be able to maintain greater temperature fluctuations and come into contact with condensed water, a little wind and rain or sand and dust.
